Mr. Schmelke moved that Mr. J. P. Ferguson be informed that wor, on the Arbizzi road will be done in 1948. Carried. s Mr. Schmaltz moved that the letter from Mrs. Bertha BuchertI requesting Relief', be turned over to the R. C. NI. P. for an inves igation. Carried. Mr. Parry moved that Franz Jacob be informed that Snow-p104 will plow out his road in near future. Carried. Mr. Parry moved that the account of the Sundre Contract ng Company for $194.11 for joint work done for this Municipal District and the Municipal District of Montainview be paid. Carried. Secretary - Treasurer was instructed to get more inform- ation from the Old Age Pensions Dept. respecting the residence of Mr. Stuart Selby in this Municipal District. Moved. by Mr. Campbell that responsibility for the account of Mrs. Mary Benusic in the Stettler Municipal Hospital be accepted. Carried. Secretary - Treasurer was instructed to notify Kasper Dietz th't his application for em loyment will be given con - sideratiln when employees for 1949 are engaged. Mr. Schmaltz moved that a letter be sent to Waterous Limited, informing them that the Allis- Chalmers Motor Grader recently purchased from them is not proving satisfactory for the foll wing reasons• Bolts in brake drums too small, Trans- mission oo small for power of engine, Bearing trouble in 41ve. tandem Carried. Mr. Parry moved that approval be given to the issuing of an Ol Age Pension to Thos E. Hall. Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved that more ifformation be secured on Liability Insurance, and that the Reeve and Secretary- Treasurer discuss this matter with Mr. J. E. Brownlee when he is here on Jan. 21st, 1948. Carried. I Mr. Campbell moved that the Secretary - Treasurer be instruct Ed to submit the account of the Calgary General Hospital for Hosp talization of John Bolton (deceased) in the amount of $257.26 j� to the Executors of the Estate. Carried. ( Mr. Schmaltz moved that correspondence be filed. Carried. Mr. Olson moved that Herman Lamrile be informed that Lots 29 and 30, Block 3, Sivalwell, are for sale at $20.00 each Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved that Mr. Ohlhauser and Mr. Gimbel be delegated to negotiate the sale of the Frame -work of the Snow -plow (previously owned the M. D. of Stauffer). Carried. taken f J. D. R. Chris. J. O'Connor & O'Connor be informed that offer of the Municipal District for compensation for lands taken for road diversion in NE-34-12-26-4 remains at the rate of $50.00 per acre. Carried. Secretary - Treasurer was instructed to inform the Co N. R. gent that the account of $10.00 for extra charges on V culvert s�ipment is refused. Moved by Mr. Olson that W. D. Postill be informed that Council 11 investigate his claim for road -way rental in the spring o 1948. Carried. Mr. Schmelke moved that approval be given to the applicat n of Mr. Jack Buchert, Torrington, for a License to peddle f sh. Carried. Secretary- Treasurer was instructed by Mr. Schmaltz to have e donation of Wm. Wise for $100.00 (Rec. #5314) placed to' the credit of Division 3. Mr. Schmaltz moved that letter from Town of Three Hills re Dam on Three Hills Creek be accepted and filed. Carried. Mr. Ohlhauser moved that a Chevrolet 1 ton truck be purch sed from Garrett Motors, Carbon, for $1,882.18, and f that Co cil proceed to pass a By -Law to provide for said purchase. Carried. Mr. Parry, C J. Christie and J. G. Umbrite submitted a report on their inspections of the lands in 28 -20, 29 -20 & 29 -21, which the Dept. of Municipal Affairs proposes to transfer from the Improvement District to this Municipal District. Mr. Schmaltz moved that the recommendation of the Committee, i. e. that the following lands be added to the Municipal District. Mr. Fleetham, representing Costello Equipment Co. Calgary, interviewed the Council, and asked the Council to inspect a Huber tractor, equipped with Bull -dozer and grader - blade, n w in Three Hills. Carried. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that first reading of By -Law No. 89 (A By -Law to provide for the purchase of a Chevrolet Truck from Garrett Motors for $19882.18) be passed. Carried. Constable Clark, of the R. C. M. P., and Mr. G. G. King, As t. Secretary - Treasurer, submitted their report of their investigations into the application for relief made by Mrs. Ber han Buchert of Trochu. They recommend that assistance be given to Mrs. Buchert at once. It was moved by Mr. Camp- bell tha a relief allowance of $20.00 per month be authorized for Mrs, Buchert. Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved a vote of thanks for Constable Clark fo his investigation. Carried. i Mr. G G. King, Asst Secretary - Treasurer, reported that Yrs.''' Tony Litvak is now lodged in The Linden Home (Since Dec, 13th, 1947) and that Mr. C. E. Ruby provided transport- ation for Mrs. Litvak from Central Alberta Sanitarium, Bowness to The Linden Home. It was moved by Mr. Campbell that this report be accepted, and that authorization be given for the payment of (1) $20.00 to Mr. C E. Ruby for transportation, (2) $15.00 for clothing issued to Mrs. Litvak, (3) $1.00 per day Maintenance charges at The Linden Home.
